Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu
Upon your arrival, a representative from Nepal Trekking Routes will reach Kathmandu International Airport [TIA] to welcome and receive you.
You will be escorted to your hotel which we will arrange where you can relax, ground and have a chance to meet other participants.
Overnight in Kathmandu (accommodation included)
Day 02: City Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
A day of preparation and necessary rest. We will spend some time going over equipment checks and making sure you are comfortable and ready for the climb ahead.
There will be a workshop hosted by Sushil Babu-Chhetri on ‘responsible travelling and ethical volunteering’ (author of ‘I Was the Child you Played With’) (***link inspirations)
A visit to a local temple will be arranged followed by an early evening yoga class.
Optional guides can be arranged with Nepal Trekking Routes at an additional cost if you wish to explore Kathmandu further, and visit world heritage monumentssuch as Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath stupa and Bouddhanata.
In the evening, we will conduct a briefing about the trekking program before your welcome dinner and evening entertainment!

Day 03: Kathmandu to Phakding via Lukla flight (2,652m) 3 hrs
We will wake up early today to catch a mountain flight to Lukla, the gateway to Mt. Everest. Be prepared for a very scenic and exciting flight! We will ease into some gentle breathing exercises and stretches before starting the trek towards Phakding.

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) 5 – 6 hrs
The day will begin with meditation and pranayama, followed by a warm breakfast to take in the crisp mountain air. The trail leaving Phakding zig-zags the Dudkhosi River alongside forested hills. We will pass through sherpa villages and cross paths with porters, donkeys and yaks at their work. Be prepared for the crossing of three suspension bridges today, allowing for our first glimpse of Everest and other peaks! The last segment is an uphill trek, until we reach Namche Bazaar.

Day 05: Namche Bazaar (3,440m): Acclimatisation day
Today is an acclimatisation day, and movement of the body is important.
There is an optional trek on this day, which we highly recommend for acclimatising the body for the heights ahead.
We will hike up to Everest View National Park where there is a museum on Sherpa culture and the history of Namche Bazaar. We will then take a steep climb up to Everest View Hotel, one of the world’s highest hotels, to capture an amazing panorama of Mahalangur Himalayan ranges including Everest, Thamserku, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse and Choaltse.
Later, we will return for a yoga class and a cozy evening in Namche.
There are many coffee shops and market stalls in Namche for recharge and rest.
Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Day 06: Namche (3,440m) to Tengboche (3,870m): 5 – 6 hrs
After a steamy breakfast at the break of dawn, we will carry our rucksacks and march onto the trail ahead. The first section between Namche and Tengboche is one of the easier parts of our trek, we will walk into serene forests of oaks, pines and magnolia, and can enjoy a fair amount of flat and down hill paths on mountains edge.
After lunch there will be a steep climb up to the magnificent Tengboche Monsastery
Tengboche Monastery is one of the most sacred Himalayan monasterys built by the Sherpa community some 300 years ago, being the largest in the Khumbu region of Nepal. The monastery lies amongst towering peaks and prayer flags affording a stunning view of Mt. Ama Dablam. Middle Path Movements, favourite mountain view.
There will be an opportunity to sit and meditate in the monastery, before an asana class amongst the peaks surrounding the tiny village.
Overnight in Tengboche.
Day 07: Tengboche (3,870m) to Pheriche (4,371 m) 5 – 6 hrs
Early morning, self meditation practice in Tengboche Monastery before breakfast.
The walk begins light and easy as we walk downhill from the monastery. Be prepared for a drop in climate and a change in vegetation as we continue our walk to Pheriche Valley. Less oxygen means trees begin to give way to shrubs and rocky landscapes
Overnight in Dingboche.
Day 08: Pheriche (4,371 m), acclimatisation day.
Today is another day allocated for acclimatisation. Movement is important, After breakfast, and a pranayama practice there is an optional hike to Nangkartshang peak (5083m) which offers an astounding view of Ama Dablam (6812m), Makalu (8485m), Lhotse (8516m), Kantega(6782m) and Cho Oyu (6160m). Depending on your energy levels, we recommend taking this walk slowly and going as far as you can today as the heights will help on our days to come.

Day 09: Pheriche (4,371 m) – Lobuche (4,940) 6-8 hrs
The trail from Pheriche to Lobuche starts as a valley walk, straight forward, along open lands crossed by fresh streams. We will enjoy several views of Everest, Lhotse and Thamserku along this section of the trail and fnd urseves amongst more and more snow.. After lunch we will reach the Dughla Pass where there is a memorial site erected in the name of trekkers and mountaineers who have lost their lives in the Everest region.
A guided meditation will be led in memory.
Overnight in Lobuche.
Day 10: Lobuche (4,940) to Gorekshep (5,164) via Everest Base Camp (5,380m) 8-9 hrs
Get ready for some cold! We will warm up with our breakfasts before sunrise today and set off as early as possible for the first part of our trek to Gorkeshep. The trail is rocky and challenging. We’ll walk amongst towering snow peaks with Khumbu Glaciers on our right, ascending our way through big rocks and boulders.
Gorakshep is the last village before Everest base camp, we will check into our lodges, drop our bags, have a warm meal of dal baht and then continue on our elevation to base camp! We made it!

Day 11: Gorekshep (5,164) to Pheriche (4,371 )Via Kalapatthar(5,550m) 8-9 hrs
Sunrise over Mt Everest!
Today we will rise very early, around 4 am, starting our trek in the moonlight, to ensure we reach to the top of Kalapathar at dawn. This is when the first sunlight hits Mt. Everest, the most stunning and magnificent view!
Breakfast at Gorakeshep before beginning our descent!
Overnight in Pheriche.
Day 12: Pheriche (4,371) to Namche (3,440m) 5-6 hrs
Today we will retrace our steps back to Namche Bazaar. After lunch prepare yourself for an uphill climb before reaching cozy Namche.
A much earned hot shower, comfortable lodge and sherpa meal at The Green Tara Hotel will be waiting for you upon arrival!
Day 13: Rest Day Namche (3,440m)
A proper rest day! We invite you to sleep in and enjoy the warmth of Namche’s morning sunshine. An asana class will be held on the roof top of the hotel with magnificent views and the rest of the day can be spent exploring the bazaar and relaxing.
Day 14 Namche (3,440m) – Lukla (2,860m)
Today we will continue to retrace our steps back to Lukla, enjoying the beautiful views of Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku and Choaltse. It will be a long walk today, but declimatizing means breathing and walking will become easier and easier.

Day 15: Lukla (2,860m) – Kathmandu (1,400m)
We will Catch an early morning flight back to Kathmandu, where the magic all began! Once in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel.
After returning any rented equipment and enjoying a much needed hot shower,
A relaxing massage will be waiting for you!!!!!
A farewell dinner will be arranged for the group, where you will receive your certificates and there will be an opportunity to thank your Porters and Guides. Celebration Time!

Day 16: Farewell!

Depending on the time of your departure, our representative will accompany you to Tribhuvan International Airport.
